MORE BODIES FOUND ON LOCAL BEACH, POLICE INCREASING PATROLS

...Two more bodies were discovered this morning on Sunset Beach, not far from the location of last week's quadruple homicide involving four drowning deaths. The bodies discovered this morning were two women, who authorities say had been tied with ropes and weights, and apparently thrown into the sea from either a pier or boat. Police do not know as yet whether these two deaths are connected to last week's homicides, but have promised to strengthen night time patrols of all beach areas...

POLICE FOCUS ON EIGHTIES GANG AS SUSPECTS IN BANK HEISTS





...Pittsburgh police Chief Thomas VanKirk at a press conference this morning revealed that an anonymous tip has led the investigation of the recent spate of bank and armored car robberies in the direction of former "Eighties Gang" members David and Peter Burke (shown in inset photos in costumed supervillain identities "Antenna Man" and "Frequency Man"). As our readers will recall, the Burke brothers were part of a gang of supervillains that plagued our area in 2002, eventually being brought to justice by the former AlertForce, led at the time by Pittsburgh's own Iron Knight. The Burke brothers have recently been released from prison, and VanKirk reports that these new robberies match their former M.O.'s, as well as the powers they used at the time. Police indicate they received a copy of a security video from a building near one of the robbery locations, showing AM and FM lying in wait for one of the armored cars, and attacking it with their technological powers. The PTA has been placed on alert for supervillain attacks (although most of the other Eighties Gang members remain behind bars), and the Police have also opened an investigation seeking the person who sent the anonymous tip, under the belief that this person may have additional information as to these crimes or others. Authorities are calling on the person who mailed them the video evidence to contact VanKirk and come in for questioning...

MORE SUPER POWERED BATTLES TAKE PLACE DOWNTOWN, PTA TAKE 8 FOOT MANIAC INTO CUSTODY

... At 3:40 a.m. this morning, the PTA was summoned yet again to the site of super destruction in our city streets. Witnesses reported that four para-humans were seen duking it out on Randolph street, and that their battle resulted in two craters over 30 feet in diameter, flying rubble that damaged three nearby buildings, and millions of dollars in damage to the roadway surface on Randolph Street and the underlying sewer tunnels. The observers (who apparently saw the battle from the fourth floor of a nearby apartment building) noted that a man wearing the garb of a Green Lantern and apparently wielding a power ring was attacked by an eight foot tall, armor-wearing being who jumped or fell from the sky, creating the first of the two craters. The Green Lantern was joined in the fray by an unidentified woman and man, who proceeded to work cooperatively with the Green Lantern to attack and subdue the armor-clad behemoth. The PTA arrived on the scene shortly thereafter and took the giant into custody, but the Green Lantern and his companions escaped the scene. City officials have indicated that traffic will be rerouted around a several block area of Randolph Street for the time being while repairs are made...
