Campaign Detail for All Players

Each of you happen to see the following Op Ed piece in the New York Times:

SUPER VIGILANTES ON THE RISE AGAIN?

The very wary or hawk-eyed among us have noted an alarming trend in recent weeks, suggesting the resurgence of super-powered vigilantism in our country. On the heels of economic collapse, near-nuclear armegeddon, and civil unrest on an unprecedented scale, this reporter does not relish the resurgance of super powered, holier-than-thou, self-appointed saviors on our streets and in our skies.

I am the last to ring an alarmist bell, but recent reports of costumed bodies flying from the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago, inexplicable walls of ice in Pittsburgh in July, and Werewolf sightings on the streets of LA (and in Mexico) can only mean one thing -- that the failed experiment that is super vigilantism is on the rise again.

One would think that with the 87% public support for ending all government funding for the erstwhile "Avengers," and our government's utter silence in the face of China's unilateral downing of the so-called "Justice Leage" satellite two years ago, individuals with paranormal abilities, or "para-humans" as they have recently been dubbed by a study out of Johns Hopkins, would take the hint: THE REST OF US DON'T WANT THE HELP.

I can only hope that any "para-humans" with big ideas reading this will get the message... You might be above average, but you are NOT above the law. I urge all Paranormal Agression and Tactics squads across the country to redouble your efforts at removing ALL super powered individuals who use their powers against humanity from society, and keeping them there. But in your efforts, do not be lulled into the false sense of security that might arise by receiving help from these self appointed heroes. As we have seen so many times in the past, it can only lead to ruin.

News Director, CNN

Sitting at her desk at the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, Gale scans the CNN website, and comes across the Op Ed piece by Linda Ross. A frown deepens on her face, as she reads it, and she mutters to herself.

"And that is why I don't get involved... How can you help those who are afraid, and refuse to see the logic in the aid you offer?"

Still musing quietly under her breath, she tucks wisps of her dark hair behind her ears, and types in the URL for the lastest satellite views of the eastern US. Absently, she slides over the day's mail, and starts opening it...
